Poor Women

You always see them
From dawn to dusk
Backs bent and heads down
They know no storm
They know no rain

You always see them
Tending children or mending clothes
Mopping floors or cooking food
They know no break
They know no rest

You always see them
Feeding ungrateful husbands
Caring for the whole world
When they finally die
They receive no praise.
