A Little I Have

A little I have, a lot I want,
The more I have, a little more I want,
When I don’t have, I crave and want
When I have it all, I still want!
We see our half glass,
And rush against the hourglass
Some see it empty
And some see, plenty.
When I walk my ‘path’
It doesn’t matter anymore,
The little I have is often a lot more!
My glass, the open ocean,
Scope for some more, but still it's full
I dissolve the salt of need within
And sail on the ship of passion
I ride the tide of greed,
Battle the storms of want,
I see a crew, chasing me, luring me
I tame the sail, I steer the ship,
For a moment, I want it all,
The buzz of the bees,
The fragrant flowers
The pots of treasure
The podium to speak,
A following herd,
The glittery crown,
A shimmery robe,
A ride around the globe!
Ah! What a dream it would be!
The sun gleams on the ocean
I wake up from the lust
I see my ocean full of joy
I see my soul full of passion
I see my heart full of love
I see the world and I’m grateful
My glass is overfull!
A little fish for everyone
A little ocean for everyone
A little love for you
A little love for me
That’s all I need
That’s all you’ll need!
