My Prologue

If within these pages you do not find
The kind of life you had in mind...
You should go and leave my world behind.

Do not think these people unkind,
For as old as I am I do not mind.
Within my words do not foresee
A hurt no longer living in me.

Please don't get mushy upon my soul,
For the Lord my God has guided me so.
My heart has healed with days gone by,
There is no need for you to cry.

The story I'll write will be all true,
The names won't change to protect any of you!
I'll add some laughter and make if fun,
So that from my book you won't have to run.

Secrets I have and secrets I'll keep
Some are shallow and some are deep,
Some are to laugh and some are to weep,
So within my heart, within my soul,
my Lord God will only know.

So within my heart,
within my soul,
within God's hands,
I'll see them creep.
