Wounded Bird

My little wounded bird, spread your wings and fly
Close your eyes, don't look down
Place your faith in God.
He's with you now and always
He's been there all the while
Though your soul is weary
And you've traveled many miles.
The crosses that you bear, he'll carry them for you
He'll wash away your pain
And your troubles will be few.
Love yourself as he loves you
And in that love you'll know
Even now he's planting seeds, knowing they will grow.
We lose our way, we all get lost
In sorrow and despair, lay your burdens at his feet
For he will hear your prayer.
Your beautiful and kind, you are a child of life
Unique and undefined, you are a child of Christ.
Hold onto your faith, there's nothing God can't do
Can he not move mountains, can he not heal you?
So spread your wings and fly, feel his warm embrace
Bask within his glory and divine amazing grace.
