Words

Words are very powerful
They bind and they set free
They suggest to the will
What to think and to feel
And I must limit their power over me
They come from the mouths of enemies
From the mouths of those we adore
Just the same, its a war
With our words we allure
I must limit their power over me
Rather then say some words I would leave
They can be a snare
They can leave me bare
I can't let them have that power over me
They suggest to the will
What to think and to feel
They suggest to the heart
What is real and is not
I won't let them have that power over me
