White Cat

kicking rocks, lonely boy
signs of love, nearly void

throwing stones, lonely man
joy is scarce, on knees he stands

in the country, here he sits
away from thick air, drink, and glitz

sighs of sorrow, often emitted
ow! sudden pain, twice scratched once bitten

liquid heat, out it flowed
stinging air, pain it showed

around he snapped, groaning loud
all signs of being, completely shroud

curious event, the man he thought
off into woods, the culprit he sought

around he looked, shadow as dark
until near manifested, a flame white spark

out he reached, rough searching hands
warm fragile body felt, soft as lamb

cloud tender creature, in his grasp it squirmed
stop your wiggling, you malevolent worm

from my body, red blood you christened
why have you hurt me, soft white kitten?

harm was not meant, replied the cat
i was making frolic, and merely that

i understand fully, said the man
frolic too was had for me, once in this land

but once is then, and now no more
why not seek friend, and relieve your bore?

no! man exlaimed, loudly replied
away he turned, and blatantly cried

still sat the cat, how deeply it glared
then came an idea, it readily shared

i will be your friend, your love and your light
stop your sobbing now, and bring me home tonight

oh how joyous was the fellow, dried tears stained his hand
you are salvation, off my knees i now stand

curious thing, this is such
that something that damaged, could cure so much
