What did I do?

Sept. 16, 2012

What did I do?  I thought that you knew
The passion inside of me for you
And could handle it.
But it must be too much for your soul to touch
What is inside of you too.
I made room for you to come further in,
Into my life so I could begin
To channel my passion in this fashion,
Where it has always longed to go.
So hoping to spark that within
So you would let go and let me in.
Nothing had changed. I just slightly rearranged…
Cleared a space in my heart for my human desire
For the love it requires from you.
I thought you could spare the same in exchange.
But what a hard thing to do.
Is my song too strong?
Was I playing it wrong?
I don't think so.
Is your passion so weak to give what I seek?
And you could only fake it so long?
I thought you had it in you.

Jampoet M

I started writing poetry at the age of eleven as a way to express what I couldn't otherwise. My poetry is my 'therapy' of sorts and helps me communicate my every raw emotion. It's funny how so much creativity roots itself in our misery, almost more so than our happiness. Being it so for me, my poetry has more darkness than light most of the time...sometimes I just want to strike a nerve. more…
