The Key To My Heart

Why is a word the key to my heart
A note or a phrase a poetical chant

A song or a speech to connect me so deep
My mind and soul are entrusted to your keep

Is it truth that words can devastate and hurt us so real
Or lift up our heart to give strength and to heal

The kindness expressed in a heartfelt review
Can become an uttered curse so full of abuse

But a simple wee note can suffice tis a start
As I ponder those few words that can open my heart...
