The Haven
Many times have I been to my quadrant
where no-one ever returns
forever my garden, many twists many turns
though I have never travelled
I visit outer reaches of an unknown reality.
When I am alone, my thoughts stray
they travel to said quadrant of finality,
I make so much happen in my place of great solace
where energy is master of my dreamstate
and undefined thoughts are made thoughtful.
Here my universal physics class is part of pure reality
where normality is a leaf falling from a tree in the wind,
a bird of prey hovers on an updraft of warm air
a raindrop may have devastating effects on a buttercup,
a dragonfly dances on still water.
Emptiness of thoughts is one seeking solitude
Logical does not mean reasonable,
be who you wish, time belongs to you
a bird flies when it wishes to, nothing to do with wings,
We who have legs decide If we walk or run
unless against our will, option is ours.
We accept life is full of danger
peril is around every corner,
we stand on insects because they are there
at that instance we are told what we must do,
learn right from wrong, we observe a flypast
Is it seen at an air show, or a dead fly.
