Regrets Do I Whisper

Many years of getting it wrong poured
                                    from my eyes...
Sitting in the garden of loneliness with
                       my head in my hands...
Wrong was I again in saying what
                               was not meant...
I stand at different seashores, footprints
                                   on different sands.

When looking at horizons different
with you ...be they all the same,
Amber skies with cloud filled pillows
your eyes call out my name,
Lips so soft did I then kiss
I held you in my arms,
A thousand stars shone in your eyes
gave way to your sweet charms,
Regret is but a friend of mine
I know that word so well,
If you hear my whisper dear
pray often ...hear me tell.
