A War Within Me

Troubled thoughts inside of me, I fear my fate
colored words with information, so out of date,
Memorize what I've forgot, now thoughts anew
repelling all the ugly lies, say what's really true.

Friction means a lack of words, now in my mind
If I hear it from you not, leave my love behind,
Feelings they are gone now, pushed from my heart
when I said those awful things, It tore my soul apart.

My head now it strays away, I can't explain
I could easily make excuses, say I was insane,
Though you loved me for so long, I was too much
my inner war got far too rough, no more your touch.
