The Garbled Walkway

A-lotta times words trip you up.
Most times they ain't your own.
You found them under foot;
slipped from some shoddy speaker's mouth.
We're too lazy to brush em away
They make in part our path.
I took to picking them up
after stumbling over a few.
Gotta hold them to the light
see if they make sense.
Many a path is shiny lies.
Many a diamond is made of glass.
Many a stumble makes this path.
