Last time I saw you,
You smiled at death.
Happy that I was there
For your last breath.

Tears showed no ounce
Of the pain I was in.
Here you were smiling
At just giving in.

I tried, in vein
To grasp how you felt.
For so long before,
You had made my heart melt.

But seeing you die
With that grin on your face,
Hardened my heart
Making Hell of this place.

This part of my mind
Which thought you'd still be there
Was tossed to the shadows
Through thin, musky air.

Suicide angel,
You flew from my arms,
Paying the price of
Untreated self-harm...
