Starting over

Here I sit with my glass of wine
Thinking of all I left behind
Married once, twice engaged
With each one I saw rage
Never one to be caged
I ran without looking back
Always leaving everything behind
I guess I was afraid to speak my mind
A glimipse of the future with each of these men
Away I ran, never to look back
I am not  timid, quiet or shy
Mistaken that way, I don't know why
Confrontation and anger, I never wanted to see
Never to hurt, or be unkind
I would run, just to unwind
These men never hit me, there was no fear
It was my mind they would attack
so I ran, never look back
Why they felt the need I did not know
I guess they knew I wouldn't fight back.
So here I sit alone again
thinking of all the things I left behind.
Just to start over again

Cindy Rossetti

I never intended to write but it was suggested that I put on paper what my thoughts were for the day. This became an outlet for me. Most everything I write about is based on experiences I have had in my life. I do not consider myself a poet, just someone that puts feelings into words. The true masters, well, you know who you are. I am honored to be in your presence. Anyway, I hope you enjoy or at least feel what I have to say. more…
