Visions

It's 2:00 AM
I'm wide awake
wondering why
The answer is easy
plain to see
so many things
inside of me
I can't solve all
but one I can
The stress that I feel
being so far away
A ticket I'll book
be on my way
to see my home
My Mom, Dad
my brothers too
One stress gone
I can't wait
to smell the fresh air
A walk to the river
sends me a shiver
honeysuckles and hummingbirds
give me glimmers of hope
In no time I'll be there
With visions of home
I'll be able to sleep.

Cindy Rossetti

I never intended to write but it was suggested that I put on paper what my thoughts were for the day. This became an outlet for me. Most everything I write about is based on experiences I have had in my life. I do not consider myself a poet, just someone that puts feelings into words. The true masters, well, you know who you are.
