Space
A word that screams in an empty room
I walked alone
not thrown into it like you
Needed your voice to carry me through
Needed your name to carry my own
I found you alone. I found you alone.
All of you spinning through the dark wet night
Hoping to be noticed like me
Hoping to be wanted
not for free
Hoping to be heard from a mountain top
Heard from the yellow labeled sparkles from an empty box
Heard from the box with a moving head
Heard from a confused nation
I looked into your heart and saw mine beating
Not Knowing Not "growing" Not showing "them"
"Them" the ones that live in my head
"Them" the ones we made up
"Them" they grawl but they weren't dead
"Them" the lie lives on
Lie, we are living one
Lie, the word made of fear
Lie, the light that lit my heart that night
Lie, horse voice screaming from under dirt
Voice calling out your name
Voice, the signals we all kept close
to remind us of our shame.
Shame I speak for the children/adults
the ones
all of us in fact
Shame, the search for my painful chest
heart is ignored till the end
Pain is what we hold onto
It makes our show go on
our show goes on with laughter
our show goes on with laughter
our show goes on with laughter
this we were born into
this confusion that the history books hide
this confusion that our parents hide
this confusion that our best friends hide
this confusion that Johnny Depp hides
Space another empty word my friend
that's lost in yellow
Space another empty word my friend
that's lost in yellow
Space another empty world my friends as we walk down the street
we run down
and are run down
and are run down
looking under rocks searching for a empty space
searching for a silent place within
a space we create
a space we look to fill
a lie we created
