Shine

Little Star,
little you are not,
standing alone in the sky,
miles and miles far.
Before Dark descended,
before your brothers stood forth,
you shined in your Might,
and my heart you mended.
Tearless ball of fire,
you must have heard my mind,
for there I looked up,
and you filled my every desire.
Though Fate has shook me,
prodded me, poked me,
boiled and burnt me,
you showed me what I want to be.
Flaming and friendless,
you glowed in the heavens,
you cared and sent help,
though your pain is endless.
Appreciation goes to you,
my visible angel above,
for a moment I was dead,
and you stretched to pull me through.
