Pig

We all love a bit of bacon.
Even those veggies are seduced
By the allure of its sizzling scent.
Sent from the grill
As it fills your nose and
Salivates your senses.

You know you want a thick pork chop!
Stopping at nothing to
Slather with apple and mustard
And dusted with salt.
Its not your fault to want
The feel of this flesh.

And what about sausage?
Golden and spitting
And splitting up the middle
As it cooks from within.
Slip it in your mouth and
Savour the flavour.

Spit roasted pork
Can perk up any dull Sunday.
With hot greasy spuds and two veg
Dripping and slipping
In rich thick gravy.
Its a flavour we crave.

So don't shun the pig.
Cos we all pig out and dig
Its delicate taste.
Closest to human flesh!
Apparently true.
I'm a pig addict, are you?
