Paradise Lost and found

A paradise lost but once known to us all.
But now only a few will take heed of its call.
The memories of men ,passed down from Adam.
The pleasures and beauty that no mind can fathom.
The call of forest the call of the land.
Forged into being by Gods own hand.
By the hands who made wings that will fly.
The same hands that created and hanged the night sky.
The glory of heaven here on the Earth.
The magic continues with every new birth. The dreams the nights mind can recall of the time when all of our
cups runneth over with the sweetest of wines.
Mankind had it all, but tossed it aside.
I found it on my land with a faithful
dog by my side.
The pleasure of loving the earth,
is truly recieving the gift of your birth!!

Michael Guerino

i am 44 years old born on long island. i am a carpenter by trade ,27 years in a trade union but my passion was always nature and a life that was outside the man made world, that was thrust upon me. poetry was my escape ..i know there are many avid readers and learned teachers out there, so excuse my spelling. i can convey the thoughts better than spell the words correctly.so don't "monk" out and just dig the meanings.i have no formal education past 10 grade:) more…
