My Mountain

My mountain is high, of that I am clear,
So daunting a challenge thoughts flood me with fear.
There's no way around it, no short cut to take,
Frustrations surrounding decisions I make.
None have the answers -- no-one can see,
The pain deftly guised through invisible tear.

I must climb this mountain, so crucial the need,
Yest so ill equipped I doubt I'll succeed.
Do I run, do I walk, how to start such a task,
I have none to look to, no-one to ask.
The first steps the hardest, it's always the same,
You look at the world to see who's to blame.

In truth there's no fault, it's just part of life,
The test to endure, the trouble, the strife.

                           I will climb my mountain.

Just a person who might have suffered more than his fair share of suffering but still lives to tell the tale. Found writing and writing found me. Everything I do is dedicated to my dear Wife and children Emma and Jamie and my mentor Rob Middlehurst. more…
