My Kind of Gethsemane

Behold!

What I have discovered?

Dancing by the sound of tambourine

And the seven - stringed lyre

Out of sheer sorrow in the cold

My loved one had sold me for silver

NOT gold.
*
Oh how I need you, my Lord!

You are my only hope,

You are my only prayer.

So I will wait for you to come to my relief

For the darkness suppresses me,

Come and give me life,

Get me out of grief!
*
I lift my eyes up, up to the mountains,

Where does my help come from?

My help comes from you,

In my prayer now I see...

That your Love is Gold for me,

Maker of Heaven,

Creator of the Earth!

NB = Whenever you begin to act out of hostility rather than love, paranoia rather than trust, despair rather than hope, just stop! Say a prayer in your need and you shall be glad you did.
