My Buddy

I have a little buddy,
Who plays with me all day.
Though sometimes I get muddy,
So clean my friend shall stay!

The things I do, he does the same;
We jump, we run, we hide.
He finds me in most every game,
And next to me he'll slide.

But when the sun goes out at night,
My friend goes home to sleep.
I'll not see him 'til morning light,
When out the bed he'll creep.

My mother says he'll be around,
And never shall he go.
No matter where I play I'm found,
Mom says he's my Shadow!
