Moralistic Servants

Religious intolerance should be oxymoronic.
Instead it's ubiquitous,
a conduct quite sardonic.

Hypocrisy is rampant, incongruent with the creeds,
preach of love and practice hate:
manifested in misdeeds.

Hot-spots all over the globe, in past and present arose,
from distortions of beliefs
many deny or impose.

The crusades and pogroms massacred Muslim and Jew,
extant with other banners:
a current scourge to eschew.

All evil expeditions where faith-tenets instill harm,
must be disowned by leaders
and in all trigger alarm.

Fanatical zealots exercising bigotry,
are moralistic servants
of self-righteous idolatry.
