Maybe

Maybe I carry memory of the dead encased in my 'a/r/mour'
Maybe ashes of the past containing something of them are deep in me
To soothe their pain I call in the night
Adjecent to Esther's people of the sea and beyond
Maybe I weep when I smile
and your song soothes their pain.

On my breasts their unfinished childhood
yet was to be nurtured
as we walked across the island
and my mournfull heart hit the tear note in the wind
So I needed you in me
to nurture them with a song
that I never let go
as I never let go of you.

As I silently scream for their lost youth
I walk beaches and streets
and like a mother steal goodness from destiny
and feed them in my heart like chicks with bare bodies.

Maybe I am an aparition of my self somewhere in the glowing dark
where I recognise your goodness and intent
and wishes beyong this world
maybe I found you
maybe I fell on my knees once
unable to feed them in the nest of my forever heart.

Their past shot, in the dead of the fearful night
where peace ceased to be...

I Love You

A Radday

I started writing poetry in my early childhood. When I was quite small I wrote a poem for my mum. When she passed away many years later I realised that was her favourite present from me ever. I started to think that there might just be some value to my poetry. more…
