Martin Luther
Martin Luther
With fire in his soul
And no ire in his heart
Martin Luther came into the light
From a life in the dark
He had but a single dream,
One of freedom for all,
While a nation screamed.
For the power of his words
Was all he had.
To change a countries ills
From humanities bad.
A bullet took him down
Long before time could.
No longer he marched
And changed what should.
Sadness descended upon the land
As a nation pays respect
With whites and Afro Americans
Now joining hands.
