Lying on the Mountain Top (Poem No. 577)
I'm here lying on the mountain top,
Lying on a palm leaves on my back.
Watching the starry skies above
With a gentle light of a moonlight.
I hear the howling of the wind
Hover just few inches above my skin.
I lay still, praying hope it will not rain;
So that we will have a wonderful
Wilderness survival training.
Midnight is fast approaching
I feel a dew drops on my chin.
Lord please don't let it turn into rain
Or else we will become Spring Chicken.
And if we will be drench in the rain
It might ruin our outdoor sleep experience.
The Lord hears my prayer
The floating grey clouds disappear.
The moon and the stars peeping again
Watching everyone while sleeping.
Nocturnal creature making their adventures.
Some creeping beside me, I dare not to move slightly;
I try not to scream or else I will scare my team.
Please insect and Snake don't sleep with me here.
Now my eyelid gently lowering down,
As the moonlight slowly fading around.
But my ears are always alert just in case
Someone in my team need any help.
Wake up call has come at last
It's four in the morning full of blast.
Whistle is blowing for the Team captain
To report before the Master Guide this morning.
Instruction is given, must prepare the team
For an unknown journey down the hill;
Heading towards the little town
For a wholesome breakfast meal.
I'm being pick on by the staff and Master guide
On the war walk down the mountain side.
They try to steal my flag, but I keep it secure and tight.
I'm taking care of our team, as well as our precious point.
The Master Guide try to get me wet on the flowing river.
I caught their signal on time, then quickly leap myself in line.
I escaped from the water for sure, but trap on the manure
When my face encounter the Carabaos' or Buffalo's stole. hehehe
Unforgettable event, it's a very special moment.
I can't stop laughing and giggling as well as those around
Who witness the most dramatic hilarious scene.
There are more to this event stay tune my friends.:)
