Life in which we all cavort
Life is fleeting, life is short
Like a caper, like a strut; like a keeper, like a jut
Life is tender, life is sweet
Life is splendor, life is neat
Like a rollick, like a prance; like a frolic, like a dance

When the pass from life is made
There's a drifting like a fade
There's a rifting like a swirl; there's a shifting like a twirl
There's a soothing like a touch
There's a holding like a clutch
There's a shinning like a glow; there's a lifting, letting go

Death to which we all belong
Death is final, death is long
Like a madness, like a blow; like a sadness, like a woe
Death is baneful, death is boss
Death is painful, death is loss
Like a closing, like an end; like a starting, like a friend
