Laughter Is Salutary

Laughter is the reflection seen in a circus mirror:
a ludicrous distortion like a grotesque caricature.
Laughter is watching kittens entangled in balls of string:
a curious cavorting as they make a cradled swing.
Laughter is slippery sliding with steps on banana peels:
a sudden lose of support while flipping head over heels.
Laughter is spirit lifting like a helium balloon:
a transit across meadows on a sun drenched afternoon.
Laughter is telling stories with an unexpected twist:
a humorous narrative with an apt climactic jest.
Laughter is funny faces like those painted on a clown:
a joyful entertainment to erase the lowly frown.
Laughter is jumping higher by escaping gravity:
a springing leap into space touching eternity.
Laughter is reminiscing about pleasures of the past:
a belly-chuckle giggle over the human cast.
Laughter is salutary like a healing remedy:
a release of endorphins in response to comedy.
