Is this goodbye?

I can almost feel it,
It's some what distant.
It's heading this way.

I gear up tightly,
grab a jacket,
an umbrella to block the rain.

It's getting windy now,
growing stronger every day,
there is no way to stop its doom.

The sadness envelopes me,
The tears provoke me,
I can run, but there isn't much room.

Facing the pain,
the monster of all fears,
As if it's found defeat.

Holding on to nothing,
fighting the resistance,
the weather is on repeat.

Then it passes,
the damage is done now.
How do we all go on?

Saying goodbye,
left is a torn existance.
A loved one is now gone.

Rebuilding the wall,
carefully now,
It will take us some time.

A delicate nature,
my heart is shattered.
Goodbye father of mine.

"For my dad, whom i love very much."

Hi, i just turned 40. I have 3 teenage daughters and one son who is 10 years. I am married to an awesome man who has changed my life in so many wonderful ways!!! My poems are crazy sad at times... I fight my thoughts daily and it does help me to write them down. But not all poems refer to my life. I actually have a great marriage and family!!One thing i wish about this site is that we could have messageboards or chat. To discuss different poems. I actually put a request in for one hopefully you do too!! Thanks for taking the time to read my twisted poetry. Its not always good but i enjoy writing :) more…
