Ice floe

Huge floes all around the ship
Moving aside for this very trip
Breaking apart in two or three
As far over the ocean as you can see
The floes are white, the water seems black
It is freezing cold on the ship's deck
The stars are shining nice and bright
The sea is calm, no reason for fright
It is peaceful in the tremendous cold
And there are memories for me to hold
So let the ship drive further through the floes
I stay on deck as long as they can bear it, my toes.
