I have opened the century book Rasul Gamzatov.

Rasul Gamzatov.
I have opened the century book
The love boundaries are fraught
By everything, from the change to insidiousness, -
Here doomed many husband,
As on a state border.

The sad story sheets.
I have opened the century book:
Tell to me, the woman, where you
Was in a fatal minute?

What for in a unknowing you slept,
Having blown the fire of a swollen out candle,
When two black trunks
Have aimed at the black small river?

You are before an eternity in a debt
Cause that with the white wings
Then has not stop on the snow
Before the blacken trunks.

Whether you are at an o'clock when you has burnt
The letter, whose ashes you has compressed in a handful,
Could safe the lieutenant
From a silly quarrel in Pyatigorsk.

And would not take under Mashuk
The poet an early tomb,
When since an evening secretly
In the embraces you have enticed him.

When by the light of a star eyes
You have illuminated a way of a return,
in the wood bog would not stunk
The hot horse of Hadzhi-Murat.

The bride from an aul Choh,
I have managed to justify you,
When would to publish not simply a sigh
You would dare during the wedding.

What for your shout has not sounded
And people there and then have not knew,
That the poison strewed was in a glass
ELdarilava from Rugudzh.

Righter than a true talisman,
Among the everyday round- roll
Safe us, the woman, from a wounds
And an errors and a death.

But let, suffering and loving,
The dashing worthy deaths,
Will be ready for you
To offer themselves men.
