Happy Chatter

Early in the morning at the crack of dawn
there is happy chatter
on the trees and lawn
as to what can matter
about "arrive and gone"
among feather and fawn.

Early in the midday at the strike of noon
there is happy chatter
on the ridge and dune
as to what can matter
about "later and soon"
among chipmunk and coon.

Early in the evening at the pitch of dusk
there is happy chatter
on the deep and husk
as to what can matter
about "nadir and cusp"
among starfish and tusk.
