Fireflies Fly in the Night

Fireflies fly in the night
Seagulls fly high up the sky
What I crave for? What I sigh?
Sites beyond sights; sigh and sigh
I and I; eye and eye
Arti went to Temple with flowers, fruits,
and butterflies to entice, allure her gods
to win Him over her sins, fallacies
for which she never falls
Fireflies fly in the night
She has roses on her cheeks,
lilies-tipped-lips, Helen-hip
Eyes to Beauty's envy
Flowers of Summer and Spring lie numb
drugged, beauteous still
kissing her black, brown, long wavy hair
wrought with magic, mysteries, and fair
Fireflies fly in the night
`neath a tangled blanket flesh (he) flinch
to entangle Life's seeds!
