Fire and Ice

I throw to you an icy glance,
You burn me with thy inward fire.
Our strife would be a devastating dance
Or even drift into romance.
If only I don't pretend to be a liar
About our nature: we're different elements.
Obeying the mutual strong desire,
We unintentionally aspire
After destroying tiny chance
Of giving birth to pure sense.
True sense of love I want to feel
Instead of which I am amused.
Is all of that happening real?
Is it your heart I wish to steal?
Seems like my tries are all refused.
We're marionettes in hands of Lord,
He separates us from each other.
Endeavoring to cut the threads with sword,
I failed; they're irreversible as if the word
Uttering casually, but that can smother.
He is the host of whole universe,
Our union is against his laws.
We can consider that as an unworthy curse
Or maybe doom; my soul cries.
They cannot be together, fire and ice.
