Demons

I wrote this while working as a jailer.

Demons chasing...follow me
Through each long corridor
Lurking...waiting patiently
for me to hit the floor
Hoping I will soon fall weak
so they can enter me
Every evil known to man
resides here constantly.
Liars, thieves, murders,
and sex offenders too
Depression, anger, rage and fear
God knows what they will do.
Jail is not a secure place
for spirits go through walls.
These walls are infested
as are the long dark halls.
Demons laughing...chasing
playing tricks always.
Demons seeking bodies
You inmates better pray.
