Death Row

walking on thin ice
our roads slowly splinter
with every sin and vice
been away from heaven for far too long
so our souls slowly wither
away cause we don't belong
theres a mirage in the jungle
see the snakes slowly slither
but the answer to the question is still “i dont know”

losing myself in the sphere of destiny
cause in this life there are no winners
see the dead bodies lying next to me
cause even if we do win this fight
a bittersweet sickness still lingers
in the air every day and night
seasons flow from the pull of time
i get high on summers and fall to winters
my eyes are open but i'm going blind

get high from head to toe
pull out all five fingers
and melt away from the ice cold
just listen to your heart and soul
a pessimist is just a hopeful winner
look at the convicted criminal on death row
don't try to make me out to be some sort of holy saint
cause i'll always be just a sinner
some things are just a little too late
