Dawns rise with maya

I know where she is as she watches dawns rise
I know what she thinks of the colours in those skies
I know the resounding ring as she sings her new songs
I know the "old" has passed through us long, long ago.

I too arise before the hours of days break and sing
to my brother the sun our proud family's tome we made
in times before dreaming before humankind walked on earth
long ago, in ages before the events of our first birth.

I watch as she watches the bright rising rays of the sun
seek out in the colours those times when we were young
where rainbows and stars glow held our two souls as one
wrapped in heaven's beauty in that first rise of our sun.

These days moments pass as dawns colours slowly dissipate
in my thoughts I reach for past memories so long belated
for the time, and passion in the first dawn as we waited
on our souls dawn's rising glory blessed life reinstated.
