Crash Or Burn

Going deaf from all the screaming
lungs collapsing from all the pressure
mind wilting from all the breathing...
these are the words he wrote
before he fell into a catatonic state
to never reawaken
something tragic must take place
before people really understand
why someone is dying inside
a slow, agonizing death
a hell that can not be fathomed
but they never listened
they offered their expertise
all he wanted was for someone to understand
without always offering him answers
without him being labeled "homeless"
and it left him ultimately alone
in a world where everything was wrong
and nothing was right with the world
and it left him alone
