Consumed

Countless hours sleepless nights Consumed by
thoughts of you. Stolen kisses are returned
ever wondering when I'll get burned. Emotions
drift toward the fire, and time together is the only
desire. An appetite never satisfied, or is it
to myself I've lied? Who is this man that
clouds my mind, if only by chance did I
find? Does he feel the way I do? Fobidden to
be answered true. Afraid of what might
happen to me, the imperilment of discovery.
Intentions remain unknown still, perhaps a
destiny to fulfill? Exasperated by concealed
emotion, a relationship with no devotion.
Kept alive by his affection, but imprisoned by
wedlock with no direction. Friendship is the only
prescription, never to be known by another description.
And though there's something that we both lack, it's courage and
wisdome that holds us back.
All I know is that I've been consumed.
