A Silent Prayer

Jason, there is no name sweeter on this
Earth. You're my pride and joy, my first baby
boy. You've grown up so fast, from toddler to
teen. Oh how the years have passed. You've
matured into a fine handsome young man. You
are sweet and kind, and you're always on my mind.
Everyday I say a silent prayer asking the
Lord to keep you safe, and to never let you
stray. I knew the day would come, you'd grow
up and move away, but as you go through life
you'll grow even more. One day you'll have a
son that you'll say a prayer for. I know
this to be true, for long ago my mother told
me the same, and now I'm telling you.
