Cold and alone
Desperate for love
The touch of another
Only comes from above

Holding on to a dream
Only tares at the soul
Leaving a rift
That spawns a dark hole

Pulling your thoughts
Ever close to the end
Grasping the edge
Trying not to pretend

That all that is right
Will never come true
With all of your heart
Dare dream the new
