Centered

Longing for tranquility,
We sit and close our eyes.
Centering our will,
To get close to our souls.

Under the pressure of day to day life,
We are stressed and angered.
So we sit and close our eyes,
To get close to what we think is peace.

Count to ten, and feel your breaths
Go deeper, and slow.
Clear your stressed mind,
And feel the rhythm of the universe
Guide you to where you would like to be.

Yes, we are stressed creatures,
But the air around us,
Can release all of our little tensions,
And help us find Peace.

I am much more free-verse and i write pretty much anything that comes into my head. My favorite thing about Poetry is that it could be anything. I am a very happy person generally and it shows through my writing. This month I have gotten into horror writing, so please forgive my string of dark thoughts. It's not as cheery as usual but that is indeed the point! more…
