I stopped searching now
for I found you in my heart
all this time you were
kept safely there
Why I lost you and how
almost tore me apart
My insight was blurred
shrouded by despair
and my steady heart beats
don't sound the same anymore
The way I see things
differs from before
The wound was engraved
and in the stillness of night
it bleeds the pain out
then heals by daylight
Feelings were masked
No questions were asked
for when you died
you were buried in my heart
