Broken in Completion

Such a game we play
The macabre dizzying dance
Filled with sadistic ways
Self-inflicted masochism
Crippling our soul for days

Spinning close, then pushed away
Hide and seek for eternity
The never ending maze
Pain before the feared
Consuming our mind in craze

Lost in the abyss of haze
Marco Polo without words
Equal love and hate displays
Tears fill lonely being
Happiness of our heart delays

Opposite of what we portray
Tag each other with deep want
Sentences we secretly rephrase
Feet walk but love remains
As we set our lives ablaze

Jillian Veitenheimer Claim this poet

My writing is a way for things to flow out of me that I didn't even know was within me. By sharing it with all the other poets out there I can rebuild my strength in myself. I can free my soul and let it soar in the stars. Let the wind rip me free of the being that carries my emotions. Poetry is my heart beat. more…
