Blood Of Formality

Deformed romantic gestures rest upon
the crest of a wild smile while sacred thoughts
assemble an army of drunken dreams.

I cast away the day's nightmare with ease
and bury my head within your warm breasts
of Heaven: consuming; voluptuous,
they drown away my battered apathy.

Blinding images seduce easily
as my mind gathers the thin lines of fear
and weaves them into desperation's mask,
at last, I crawl away from everyday,
to bathe in the blood of formality.

Erotic eyes casually mock me
so I sweep them into the fine flaked dust
where a pathetic act of death's performed
in silence to an ever growing crowd.

And now decaying time drags my spirit
into its broken home, to watch it fade,
my smile's violently shattered and scattered
in gardens of rejected advances,
I wash away the blood and laugh a snarl.
