Beautiful Lie

It's such a beautiful lie
That fondles and caresses ears.
Elegant, guileful lullaby.
I've always known you're sly.
The lie might cause an ocean of tears.
I can't cease listening to you, my dear:
Your charms are working very nice.
Each word's the right one like you spice
Them making pretty cover. I'm in vice
Of your contrivances and cannot hear
What people say about the price
Of flattering words I'm muffled up in which
As if they're cozy and soft cashmere.
The very truth I'm trying to reach
Is buried deep, so I may have to screech
To call it compelling to appear.
But when I think it's almost here,
Frustration welcomes me with open arms.
Whom should I trust? Everything got unclear:
Beautiful lie savagely slayed my inner seer
And closes my eyes again with palms.
