Aquainted With The Heavens

I have been one acquainted with the heavens.
I have gazed up at Polaris and around to Scorpio.
I have overemphasized the quiet sparkly diamonds.
I have loved even the dimmest starry sky.
I have spoken to the Father through my longing
and opened my heart, trying to explain.
I have stood still but withheld the curiosity from revelation
When somewhere close a hurried plead
Whispered throughout the winds above endless cares,
Though far from leaving me behind nor having disregard;
and yet unexpectedly without a proper warning,
One luminous shooting star above the heavens
Exposed the marvel had both bewilderment and beauty.
I have been one acquainted with the heavens.
