Abused

She was a darling,
sweet and beautiful.
Too young to hurt anyone,
Too innocent to know what was happening.
Her daddy loved her,
always took time, to play with her.
Everyone said,"She was daddy's girl."
He did everything, with her.
Read her stories,
gave her a bath,tucked her in at night.
He even helped her to say her prayers.
He always said, she was special.
He loved her.
Yet sometimes, his love hurt.
As she grew older, his love hurt her, even more.
She hid her scars of battle well
till she said," No.
You can't hurt me anymore."
She resisted. He fought. He was too strong.
She died. He can't hurt her anymore.
