A Very Lonely Christmas

You are so very far away
Fighting in another land.
I think of you more and more each day
Now that Christmas is close at hand.
Will you have a Christmas tree?
As I think of you do you think of me?
I'll send you a box of Christmas joy
With all your favorite treats inside!
But when you open it my darling boy
Find a safe place where you can hide.
May Lord Jesus bring you safely home
So by next Christmas we won't have to be alone.
Then never more will we have to pass
Another very lonely Christmas.
