A New Dawn -- Life Lessons Part 3

The Hallway has broadened
Into a vast meadow
With thin, nearly transparent walls.
I feel happy, safe, and loved.
The stains of my art have faded
To a barely perceptible discoloration.
My emotional scars, too, are healing.
Birds sing in treetops and
The air is fresh with the fragrance of wildflowers.
I dance, free at last.
Strength and life fill me.
The terrors of my past are forgotten,
Or at least pushed to the
Recesses of my mind.
Light surrounds me.
I know that He is my Strength and my Shield.
And I am happy.
I feel this will never end.
I have been rescued from my despair.
My pain has ended.
I rest by a babbling brook
That ends is a still pool of crystal clear water.
Soft grass of the brightest green
Grows at its side.
It is lined with small, polished, perfectly shaped pebbles
That shine in the sunlight.
The sunlight kisses my once-scarred skin.

I am whole again.
